Final Farewell for Xbox

Microsoft has taken a step that affects the first Xbox games and announced that from next April 15 the digital distribution platform Xbox Live will not work for the original Xbox consoles and games for this console used in Xbox 360 and original or downloaded from the Xbox Originals.

The spokesman ads related to Xbox Live Larry Hryb has given the following explanation: "although I can not comment on details, this change will allow us to continue to evolve the LIVE service with new possibilities and experiences that leverage the full power of Xbox 360 and the community Xbox LIVE. We have not taken this decision lightly, but after carefully considering and analyzing it, we realized that this decision allows us unprecedented flexibility for future improvements.

This action will be sought as a first step to disable the automatic renewal of subscriptions for those users who only use the Xbox Live service to download titles from the first console from Microsoft.

The company aims to make different changes to this platform to improve service and make it more competitive as this digital platform does not get the same results as those of its main competitors such as PS3 and Nintendo Wii.

This is certainly sad news for all those still enamored of old glories of the now defunct Xbox but it is a story that is not very surprising since the majority of users are envisioned this ending.
