The sequel to King’s Quest is officially canceled

Activision is the company that is holding all rights for the renowned adventure game King's Quest "and some time it has been talking very seriously about making a sequel that continues the story of this great title.

This sequel was being developed by a group of supporters so far had given no hint of the official release date. This title would be exclusive to the PC platform but eventually the company that owns the series has issued a statement which confirms the cancellation of the program permanently.

For its part, claims that Activision is not interested in bringing to light a project whose production and has spent eight years of work. This project was named "The Silver Lining" and even had the approval of the original owner of the series, but it seems that the continuing delays in the development of play ended with the patience of Activision making it easier to take this decision.

The filmmakers have expressed their stance on their official website, but are aware that they can not do anything about the decision taken by California. Thus we find a statement on its website where officially announce the cancellation of the project.
